Oil on canvas, not done yet but I am working on it. The first idea came in Photoshop now I have started to paint it on a canvas with airbrushes and oilbrushes.

Not bad, but its way too small for firefox and the guy looks like he has a "glamour blur" on him.

Too small for firefox? Lmfao; what the fuck are you talking about? It's been created so people with a resolution of 1024x768 are able to view it in a reasonable way too.

You're pretty wrong about the guy his effect thingy; but yea I know it looks silly. It'll be removed too, and changed with something else which I do not know yet.

hmm...

yes the effects on the guys' pic don't look good.
the font in the second headline should be changed to some other one. (pixels in the curves)
the list of navigation looks a little bit crap because the square is too much lowered.
the 'smooth' crossing (idk how to express that)
the contact info unbalances the site's layout in my eyes.
critics ftw.

If you do not want pixelated curves on fonts, use IE7. - Anyway, those comments are usefull. Although I think the squares in the menu is a matter of personal taste. I could do top: -2px; though and see what that looks like.

At the moment i don't have much time to make from the scratch. It was a black&white picture of Uncle Sam and i just quickly over painted (used mouse) to get some Irish look on him.

Basically it's the same technique what they used before the color film was developed. They took a b&w photo and over painted it with colors.

You should try it if you have some extra time. We had photo developing at the school where i studied and we had a change to test all kind of a things and that was just one of those.
