My opinion on this is that it is pure ability and not doped at all, Mark Spitz won seven golds in the 1972 Olympics and also broke records and he was never accused of using drugs to this day, I can understand why some of you might be a bit skeptical as it was proven that the Chinese swim team in 1992,1996 and 2000 and also the east German woman's swim team in 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, and 1988 used performance enhancing drugs such as human growth hormone (HGH), Erythropoietin (EPO), Androgenic Anabolic Steroids (AAS), and Testosterone. I think that Phelps just has some tremendous athletic ability aside from the fact that he is double jointed and bends his feet at weird angles, when a swimmer has always had mediocre times and then suddenly gets a great event time then drugs would be suspect but if you guys take a look at phelps records as far back as 1999 you can see that he has always been pretty fast, records are made to be broken and it had to happen sometime..
