To start off Pansemuckl, I'd like to congratulate you for writing up such a knowledgeable post. It surely does bring PB's lack of skills to people's minds. Wether it be Cheater, or Anti-Cheaters, I guess they understand it now.
I noticed that I saw a text string to my site and the picture seemed familiar and when I opened it and saw the link I noticed that It was the same picture that Dubbls sent me. I'm not sure at all If he was the one that made that picture though, and not sure If he did any work on it ? Just notifying you of it

I can also confirm that signature scans are done on AA v2.8.3 too. My hack first got detected for some text string in my Menu so I just encrypted all those strings, and after doing that they detected text string "Enemy Is Visible" or anything along the line because I encrypted every single text string now to prevent it happening in future ever again.
What is weird though, is that I asked HelioS if he could be so kind to check AA for signature scans, and If I recall correctly; He said he found none ?
Maybe AA's PB client / server is newer than the other ? I've no clue, you tell me
